Platform Architecture · The Engineering Harness · Deterministic Execution

Stop guessing what your AI is building.
Specify the architecture.

Standard AI coding assistants operate as black boxes, injecting unverified code and generating massive context debt. The Realized.Dev platform replaces this chaos with a deterministic, multi-agent engineering harness.

How It Works

The Three Layers of Autonomous Engineering

We strip autonomy away from the execution layer and give it to the specification. The harness's rules require an accepted specification and a failing test before any implementation. The harness includes hooks that check agent actions, and we're hardening them for cloud runs.

  1. L1

    The Harness

    Read-only constraints

    • Read-Only Plan Modes
    • Explicit execution plans
    • No repository mutation
  2. L2

    The Manager

    Backlog steward

    • Local work-item queue
    • Read-only spec audits on demand
    • Ready-to-execute plans
  3. L3

    The Workforce

    Parallel execution

    • Parallel subagent waves
    • One feature branch per item
    • Cloud PR intake checks. A person approves every merge.

The Engineering Harness

Deterministic execution.

HARNESS 01

The TDD Orchestrator

Delegates work to isolated red, green, and refactor subagents, test-first by design.

HARNESS 02

Automated Gatekeeping

Automated QA gates verify that shipped code passes tests before version control operations occur.

HARNESS 03

Merge firewall

The harness includes hooks that check agent actions, and we're hardening them for cloud runs. /intake checks cloud pull requests in an isolated worktree. Agents open draft pull requests. A person approves every merge.

Core Philosophy · Spec is Law

The specification is your single source of truth, recorded in Git and pull-request history.

The specification directory, not the chat history, decides what counts as done. Changes are reviewed against it before they reach your main branch.

Industry Standard

  • Black-box execution→ checked
  • Post-generation fixing→ checked
  • Pay-per-token API fees→ checked
  • Unverified code injection→ checked

Realized.Dev Platform

  • Strict TDD loops→ checked
  • Local-only database tests→ checked
  • Spec-gated acceptance criteria→ checked

The Harness

  • Read-only plan modes→ checked
  • Automated QA gates→ checked
  • Traceability checks→ checked
  • Draft PRs; a person approves every merge→ checked

The Boundary

  • No third-party streaming→ checked
